Rust is a systems programming language that can be used to write both server-side and in-browser code. It is a blazing-ly fast language combining the performance of C++ with helpful abstractions like Java. For these reasons and many more, it has been voted the ‘Most Loved’ programming language in Stack Overflows developer survey for 7 years in a row. From the basic syntax of Rust right up to the language’s most powerful features this course hopes to equip developers to start writing Rust applications. This course will not only show developers how to write Rust code but also serve as an introduction to the ecosystem showing developers the great tooling, libraries and frameworks available.
The target audience for this course are experienced Java/Kotlin developers who are interested in writing more performant code and hungry to expand their programming knowledge. Attendees will need foundational knowledge in Java tooling and the most common libraries and frameworks used in Java web development today.
