Thomas Fitzpatrick

I am a software engineer with 20 years commercial experience. I have workedy predominantly on projects written in Java and other JVM-based languages. The projects I have worked on have been in the telecoms, banking, insurance, digital rights management and healthcare sectors. Right now I work in GreenTech, which is right up my alley. I also write my own tooling using python and bash shell scripts, which I keep under version control using git.I am a contributor on the stackoverflow.com discussion boards and am on several open source and JSR mailing lists. I am teaching myself assembler and computer architecture in my spare time. Aside from software I am an avid reader with interests spanning everything from sociology to climate change. I am an outdoors man, cycling everyday to work, running twice a week and trekking in the mountains about once a year. I never have enough time to pursue all my interests.
