Eric Qi Zhou

Here we have Eric Qi Zhou (born in 1981 a.k.a. the year of the rooster). Made in China and currently living in Amstelveen with his wife Guangli and their daughter Helena. His awesome tech skills involve Scala, Akka, Functional Programming, AWS and Kubernetes. As a Code Nomads senior developer he works at PortXChange, making sure all the ships and containers keep going in the port of Rotterdam. His favorite sport is basketball and his favorite Dutch thing is ‘hagelslag’.

Fun fact

Both Eric and his wife are from Shanghai, but they met right here in The Netherlands. Eric visited the Chinese wall when he already lived in the Netherlands for years.
