Anca Matei

Meet Anca Matei, who joined Code Nomads in 2026 as a senior developer. She moved from Romania to the Netherlands and she lives in Dordrecht with her boyfriend Robin and their cat, Kali (name inspired by Kali Linux). Anca is an expert in Java and the Spring framework, with a strong passion for clean code practices and software architecture design. In her free time, Anca enjoys travelling, learning new languages and connecting with people from different cultures. When it is sunny outside, she will take a break from coding to go jogging in the park.

Her favourite show is The Office, and she has watched it more times than she’d like to admit.
