Exploring Generative AI in Banking

At Code Nomads we love to share knowledge, both with our clients and among our colleagues. Our own Makan Sepehrifar took our internal stage at the last team meeting and shared about the project he’s currently working on. During the past year, he pioneered a proof of concept (PoC) project aimed at uncovering the impact of Generative AI technologies in the banking industry. This initiative is not a solo effort but a collaborative exploration with a dedicated team of internal experts on the client’s side.

The focus of this PoC has been on understanding and leveraging:

• Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG): To enhance AI’s ability to make informed suggestions by integrating external knowledge.
• Tokenization and Ingestion: Applying data processing techniques for a deeper understanding of the model.
• Semantic Search: Developing methods that improve search accuracy through context and intent understanding.
• Content Generation: Experimenting with AI to generate relevant and context-aware content.

This collaborative effort has not only been about technical implementation but also about discovering the potential applications and impacts of Generative AI in financial services.
